Given a population of more than 1.4 billion, ensuring last-mile healthcare delivery in India presents a significant challenge. The country’s vast geospatial diversity further complicates access to healthcare in remote and difficult terrains. Over 65% of the population resides in rural areas, which have limited access to healthcare infrastructure, while urban slum dwellers often prioritize daily survival over health needs. This uneven distribution of resources, coupled with a lack of awareness, hinders the effective utilization of existing healthcare services. Bridging these gaps is essential to achieving Universal Health Coverage and aligning with the Government of India’s vision of Ayushman Bharat.
